One project for my MA, we had to create a termite exterminator machine that had an 1950's theme. It had to look like it would fit in with a typical house decor from the 1950's. I made mine be a portable backpack that came with a plastic tree that gave off a bark scent to attrack the termites, then when they are distracted you can place the dome over the tree, attatch the nozle and then send the termites into a peaceful eternal sleep.
One of my briefs was to redesign a superhero called The Blue Beetle. This was the end result of my work, I decided to aim it at a younger audience.
For a module at university we had to create a imaginary creature from scratch. We had to design the skeleton, then add the muscles. They had to work out and would have to actually work. Then we had to add fur, this is the creature I came up with.
Drawn out in Illustrator, I had to create a city. I looked into Dr Seuss and Tim Burton and liked the exagerated look so tried to incorperate it into my own work.
Some character designs made for the city shown above. Drawn out in Illustrator.
Not yet finished, this is part of my city brief. The gang design shown up above will be vandalising and causing trouble and they scare this old woman.
Part of my final work, not yet finished. Drawn out in coloured pencils on brown paper.
